Infiniti Pool, Good Drinks, Entertaining Staff

You definitely get your moneys worth while staying at Akteon Tourist Village. My friends and I enjoyed a 3 day 2 night all inclusive stay for the reasonable price of 232 Euro (58 per person). The All Inclusive package included 3 meals per day and unlimited drinks at the bar. Not bad! The hotel is located off the tourist circuit so I recommend the all inclusive package because it's a hassle to get downtown to the restaurants if you have an urgent need for food. There are mini kitchens in the room for the guests that prefer to cook for themselves but who REALLY wants to cook on vacation? Not me. The rooms were decent. There were two beds pushed together in the bedroom and two cots in the living room that doubled as couches and beds. To conserve electricity the power in the room is activated by pushing a magnet into a slot in the wall near the front door. This nifty contraption is great for people who can't keep track of their keys. Speaking of people who lose track of stuff, there were a TON of old people at the resort. The ratio of young folks to old folks had to have been 20:80. Perhaps it's because of what time of year we went? Whatever the reason, if the over the hill gang is not your crowd I suggest you do not visit the resort during the month of March. The Hotel provides nightly entertainment and the host of the festivities is quite the character. If you can, plan to be there on a Saturday night so you can see the fire show, it's amazing!

the beach side location, large rooms, clean, salon services, full buffet

When I stayed at Atkeon hotel, it was a short weekend in March. Despite it not being the tourist season, Atkeon still managed to impress me. Atkeon has the option of staying, all-inclusive. This entailed breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with snacks and drinks. You should be aware that while all-inclusive does mean open bar, it does not include the imported alcohol. The meals were satisfactory. Atkeon had an extensive buffet. One night they provided barbeque, which was delicious. Breakfast's are English style. If you plan to stay on the resort than being all-inclusive is a good option. If not, the town of Pafos is only a 10 minute bus ride away and will take you to an extensive array of restaurants. The Atkeon is very close to the bus station which was nice. I was able to walk to it, within a few minutes. The bus runs every 15-20 minutes.
As it was March, the outdoor pool was still very cold. It was very clean though and large which was nice. There is also a separate infant pool. The Akteon is not directly on the beach but a paved path will take you to a beach about a 10 minute walk away.
Besides the pool, the Atkeon offers other facilities and services. There is a salon at the hotel, which provides massages, waxes, hair cuts, manicures, pedicures etc. While I did not get anything done there, I have friends who got the Swedish massage and loved it. There is also a gym. It is very small. It contains a few cardio machines, along with free weights and one weight machine.
My room was comfortable and very large. There is an extensive kitchen, fully accessorized with pots and pans for those who want to cook. Each room also has a balcony with a table and chairs. My only complaint for the room was that the bathtub was not very wide so when I showered, my feet felt squished. Even so, I would definitely stay at the Atkeon again.
