One of the best meals we had for a very long time in Cyprus. Excellent cuisine, wine list and service. We will definitely be a repeat a customer.

The brunch and the creme brulee

We had an absolutely delicious dinner. The owner lady was very friendly and bubbly which made the whole experience even better.
So we decided to visit again for a Sunday brunch.
It was really nice and delicious. My friend didn't stop saying how it was the most enjoyable brunch she ever had. And trust me she's fussy and knows her cooking very well. So my friend's comments were praise indeed.
As far as the creme brulee is concerned, there's no words good enough to describe it.

    atmosphere, food, friendly service

This brasserie has a great, extremely cozy atmosphere, with seating on two storeys and outside.

I tried frog legs for the first time ever, and they were smothered in a delicious olive oil/garlic sauce and were extremely tasty.

While my sirloin with sauce au poivre was good, it was not as satisfying as the mussels in white wine sauce that I also sampled. Next time, I will be getting the mussels and frites.

For dessert, get the creme brulee, which is bruleed at your table!

This seems like a great place for a gathering, or for a date, and it is conducive to a long, leisurely meal.

    I would go again.

    My review

It is one of my favorite restaurants in Nicosia, mostly because of its amazing, authentic atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they know the food they are serving and they know the wines to go with it. I have to admit that I always take mussels, just changing starters/salad, but my husband keeps trying different dishes, and the food is always good. The owner is usually around, talking to people, either just greeting them or giving advice on the food choices. I will surely keep visiting.

nice atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food, good prices

I had the most amazing foie gras there.

They have a really good selection of traditional French dishes and a decent wine list. A must for French cuisine lovers.

The prices are reasonable, staff very friendly.

I will definitely be going there again in near future.

Wonderful atmosphere, great service, great quality

This past Saturday I had dinner for the first time at the Brasserie. I had been hearing a lot about it from friends and thought I should finally give it a try, since it's also walking distance from my house. Coincidentally, it was Valentine's day. That meant that I couldn't order a steak which I was really in the mood for because, for obvious reasons, there was a set menu. However, what a set menu it was! I went for the fresh foie gras as an appetizer, followed by slow-cooked wild boar with potatoes and vegetables and finished it off with the chef's surprise, a sort of profiterol with berry sauce. All of that accompanied by a 2007 Saint Emilion which was quite reasonably priced (€23).

I was actually very impressed with the quality of the food. The most memorable dish was by far the foie gras. It was simply divine. Fresh, juicy and served with a sweet sauce, it melted in your mouth. The wild boar was cooked to perfection and the combination of flavors was well suited and did not steal from the richness of the meat. We were also served baguette. As far as dessert, I probably should have gone for the cheese platter as we had some wine still left in the bottle, but the chef's surprise was very interesting. My wife went for the fresh fruit salad which was indeed fresh, more than I can say for a few other restaurants in Nicosia.

The first thing I noticed as soon as I entered was the friendly staff, who are mostly French, as well as the warm atmosphere and decoration. The service was impeccable and throughout the dinner we felt quite special. The owner, Ms. Gatienne stops by every table and socializes with the customers which I thought was very charming. She definitely is the spirit of this restaurant and it shows.

The price was a bit steep (it came out to >€60 per person), but I think it was mostly because of Valentine's Day set menu. I took a look at the menu and the price range would normally range between 30-40 per person with drinks, which I think is perfectly acceptable for a restaurant of this quality.

Highly recommended, especially for a special evening with friends or your loved one. I am definitely going back and am also planning to try their Sunday brunch.
