The best wine list you can find in Nicosia.
Very expensive food, with selected dishes. Steaks are fantastic but chicken or pork are not. The meat (chicken or pork) was cold without taste covered with very hot and heavy sauces.
Nice romantic atmosphere, very good service.

This restaurant is obviously trying to classify itself in the gourmet category and it is actually not doing such a bad job. The menu is sophisticated, the service is impeccable, the wine list is comprehensive and the prices are inflated.

By far the most impressive asset is the wine cellar, hence the name. Unlike many restaurants in Cyprus, this one this will not disappoint the wine connoisseurs. Every major wine-producing country is represented and you can even order Bordeaux's premieres crus if your wallet can handle it.

We started off with a sort of creative salad that I'm still not sure how I feel about,but which was tasty. I then had the steak which was perfectly cooked, even though the sides were not matching it that well. The plates are enormous which is both impressive as well as strange. I topped my steak with an Argentinian Malbec that was appropriately served in a decanter. The pannacotta at the end was nice and creatively presented.

The service was very good, even though the restaurant was quite empty that night. But i believe it's probably good all the time as there arent too many tables. The staff is friendly and makes an effort to engage with the customers.

A dinner here will set you back at least €40 per person, even more if you go for a full course meal with wine. This is a restaurant for special occasions and I'm glad there is an option like this in Nicosia.
