My review
Damianos opened as a 'fruit and vegetable market' but in reality they are pretty much a full-scale smallish supermarket --- though with a large emphasis on fruits / vegetables.
There was nothing really like this in the area, so this has turned out to be a huge convenience.
Prices are slightly higher than the big supermarkets but the convenience factor more than makes up for it.
And, yes, the staff is in fact quite friendly
Variety, freshness
A very convenient option for the neighborhood shopper. The variety is good, the items are fresh and the staff is extremely friendly.
The only criticism I would have is the arrangement of the store and the width of the aisles. Basically, if someone stops in front of you with their cart, you really have to try hard to squeeze past them.
