excelent ice cream; playgorund for kids
While walking down Ledras you should try Heraclis Ice Cream. Excelent ice cream and a very good place to stop by and take a rest and enjoy your ice cream. There is quite a big playgorund in the back yard for kids to play and spend some time.

Heracles is one of those places you can just stop at whilst taking a walk in the old part of Nicosia and have a coffee, snack or ice cream.
In my opinion, they have the best vanilla ice cream in Cyprus and their others are full of flavour as well, especially the lemon one.
There is a great area where kids can play whilst you watch them, and as there is only one way in and out, you can be sure that they are safe.
Coffees and snacks are good and won't burn a hole in your wallet.
stays open late, play place for kids, central location
If you love Papaphilippou, you will be vastly underwhelmed by Heracles' Ice Cream. They manage to get about a quarter of the flavour impact of P&P into their ice-cream, and you find yourself struggling to identify the flavour - it's like you can almost taste it.
It does have a great location, and stays open much later than anything else on Ledras, and has a play place for the kids.
