Great food, nice atmosphere, picturesque location
One of my two favorite restaurants in Kakopetria (and a general favorite), Linos Tavern is reason enough to make the one-hour trip from Nicosia for a great weekend lunch.
The menu offers a variety of delicious Cypriot and Greek meze dishes and a few signature items such as their tomato bread, prepared and baked at the tavern.
Sometimes there is live music inside which creates a nice and festive atmosphere.
It's located right in the middle of Old Kakopetria and the building is a traditional Cypriot mountain home, which is a delight to eat at as well as take the walk to through the narrow pebbled streets. Highly recommended.
