Pafos Podiatry Centre is exceeding the expectations of a podiatry clinic by its professionalism and modern clinical environment. The clinic works under the Health Care Professions Council of both Cyprus and British Standards while its continuous development in clinical care is evident. The staff are registered with both the British and Cyprus Association of Registered Podiatrists. The clinic has transferred its experience and era from England after years of practicing in London, Southampton & Birmingham.

We have now linked the knowledge, the experience, our good reputation and we created Pafos Podiatry Centre. The only accredited podiatry clinic with high standards and aims of excellence in Pafos.
Here, with collaboration spirit, we have as our objective the creation of a modern centre, at the same level as the equivalent European Podiatry Centres. The good reputation, the scientific knowledge and the experience are all grouped together in a team of other healthcare professionals that we collaborate with and functions in a friendly environment, supported in the mutualism and cooperation. The collaboration of the podiatrist in the clinic with a team of professional specialists like Diabetologist, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Physiotherapists, Dermatologists and much broad multidisciplinary healthcare team completes the circle of our expectations.

Services:

Pafos Podiatry Centre clinical services include the evaluation and management/ treatment/ therapy of a wide range of lower limb pathologies from ingrown toe nails to skeletal abnormalities.

Treatment of ulcers, wound management, advice and referral as appropriate.
Provision of gait analysis with the use of a pressure-measuring platform with multiple sensors that allows a close look into the pathology of people with walking or running problems.

oMinor nail and soft tissue surgery using local anaesthesia.

oCallus and Corn removal with surgical blade under sterile conditions.

oVerrucae and Wart treatment with cryotherapy and caustics and surgical blade enucleation.

oPrescribing, producing and fitting orthotic devices and other aids or appliances.Prescription of orthopaedic and accommodative footwear for arthritic, diabetic foot.

oFoot health education, particularly to more vulnerable social groups including the elderly, children and people with general medical problems.

oUse of a range of equipment, such as surgical instruments, dressings, treatment tables, orthotic- inner sole materials, grinders and shaping equipment for making orthotics.

oLong term management of specialist high risk patient groups, where amputations risk must be minimised like in a case of a diabetic foot.

oUse of gait analysis system for an objective tool in the diagnosis of foot pathology and anatomical abnormalities. Gait analysis system can provide insight information on the pressures of the foot at dynamic and static examination tests.
