Pikis is one of the more famous souvlaki shops in Nicosia. It was run by decades by Mr. Pikis and was well-known for being open practically every day and good souvlaki and sheftalia. A few years ago, it was sold to a new owner (Mr. Ilias) and to the neighborhood's relief, the tradition and quality has been maintained.

    Fresh, good quality

Souvlakia is an easy thing to cook right? Well you would think so, but that doesn't seem to be the case for everyone.

Pikis souvlakia has been a grade by which you can judge other souvlakia palces in Nicosia.

Their quality has always been good and when they opened the dining area, this brought a welcome addition to the business.

Fresh, very good quality is what this souvlaki is all about.

Excellent quality of meat, huge portions.

Pikis has long been considered the elite of the souvlaki restaurants and for good reason. Even though there is no real secret in making great souvlakia (it's all in the quality of the meat), so many kebab places get it wrong every day. Pikis doesn't. I've never eaten at the restaurant but I get delivery from here very week.

There are two things that make Pikis' souvlaki stand out. The first is the quality of the meat (better cuts, fresher meat) and the other is the size of the portions. There is just so much souvlaki in the pita that even I who eat well, can barely finish the "enhanced" portion. I am usually perfectly happy with the regular portion.

They also only include cucumber, tomato and parsley in the pita, no dumping of cabbage like at most places, which makes sure that the pita is stuffed with all the important stuff, meat! The shieftalia is also great. Delivery times are quite fast and the service is very friendly.

Definitely my no.1 choice for souvlaki delivery and the slightly higher price tag is totally justified.

    Excellent souvlaki and sheftalia

Long-standing neighborhood favorite of classic Cypriot souvlaki and sheftalia for me and my family. I can't even imagine how many times we have picked up a couple of pitas of souvlaki and sheftalia to take home (It is certainly multiple times per week when I am in Cyprus). Mr. Elias is doing an excellent job taking over the shop and portions remain among the largest. The small in-house restaurant that was added a few years back is also not a bad place to eat in, though it is nothing fancy at all.

Parking remains an exercise in creativity. People picking up just park in the left lane of Nikis. If you are actually staying for dinner, drive around and park on one of the back streets.

    Highly recommended.

Delicious food, fast service (both delivery and dine-in), great value

The sheftalia and souvlaki here are amazing - perfectly seasoned, large portions, and absolutely delicious; great for delivery or dine-in. The dining area is spacious, service is friendly, and you can watch sports while eating :)
