Studio 8 – Andreas Mavrogenis

Studio 8 is a multipurpose space established by the scenographer Andreas Mavrogenis in 2009. Characterized by passionate love for art and experimentation, this new multi space is a lively core for art as a mean of pleasure and influence in everyday life.
The multi-dimensional nature of Studio 8 is defined by its usage as a creative workshop, which offers a variety of art related programs for students and adults. It is designed to inspire students' originality and inventiveness and foster their development as independent learners.
At Studio 8 we believe in the power of the students' creativity thus we provide them with opportunities to progress their artistic skills.
The success of this educational effort is influenced by the support of our teachers in accordance to the real needs of the market. In addition, our educational passion is the driving force and motive power for all of our activities.

Studio 8 offers a professionally organized mechanism for creating artistic ferment, as well as social and cultural action.
Through its educational program, and cultural events, it intends to:
Inspire children and adults with innovative educational programs that excite their imagination and promote their creativity.
Provide quality learning opportunities.
Demonstrate the dynamics of contemporary artistic production and respond to what is current in the art world.
Broaden the audience for the arts in Cyprus.
Promote the Cypriot artistic creation in Cyprus and internationally
Help students form a coherent personality and skills that meet the demands of the modern labour market in the area of ​​design and applied arts.
Cultivate learners with ambition and drive who are able to use the creative freedom of the programs offered by Studio 8 in order to develop a strong art practice.
Positively contribute in the creation and production of individual or global initiatives of cultural nature which aim to enhance and develop the cultural creation in Cyprus.

Studio 8 is located in a fully refurbished and well-designed space in the centre of Limassol, which used to accommodate the artistic workshop “MAVROGENIS”. Tradition is welled up in its foundations. This makes the atmosphere more pronounced, as well as the responsibility to continue the artistic work a true challenge in which we have an obligation to meet worthily.
